Found this caterpillar in my garden today,3-31/2 inches long,as thick as a mans finger,anyone know what the feck it is :ohmy:

I think it may be a moth,I've never seen one like it before.

It's the larvae of an elephant hawk moth.

Been doing some research and found out this beast is a good beastie,he eats weeds so I'll get used to him/her

Its just sometimes they have difficulty differentiating betwen weeds and plants/flowers :lol:

I hear that when it turns into a moth it mates and then burrows under an animal's (even human) skin to lay it's eggs :fear:
