Trouble with Sacred

got this game loaded ok,but when I go to play it all I get is a black screen,the website says this is a codec problem with wmp,so I uninstalled my codec pack,installed wmp10,but it still wont work :frusty:
Looks like a good RPG so I dont want to give up on it yet.
