English Billions or American Billions?

Which account?

If its coming from Nigeria, the result is minus whatever is currently in your account inc your overdraft limit

I take it opening the computers calculator isn't a strong point either, along with your punctuation.

it would have helped if you had mentioned what account it was at NatWest and what the current interest rate was

Your statement makes absolutley no sense. If the interest rate is 14%, then you will make 14% interest, period. I think what you really want to know is how much money would you make at X% interest? Correct? Let's just go with that 14%. If you have 1,000,000,000 (that's one billion since you're not a numbers guy) and you want to figure out how much money a 14% percent interest rate would profit you, use this formula:

1,000,000,000 x .14 = ________

Just remember that the interest rate is typically set over a certain amount of time.

if it's 0.14% per annum, how can it be 0.14% per month? http://moderation.invisionzone.com/style_emoticons/default/dabs.gif
