seems pretty fair to me. why exactly do you think its biased in some way?

it defines slipknot as mallcore, which is really opinionated.

I don't see the bias you speak of, but I shouldn't worry if I were you; wikipedia is not history, after all.

Time will take care of your concerns, certainly.

Well the article doesn't hold up to the "Neutral Point of View (NPOV)" of Wikipedia.org

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Npov

I once read anrticle stating how wikipedia has been losing credibility in its entries, due to issues similar ones like these.

Sure. Accusing someone of being part of a conspiracy to assassinate the president of the U.S.A and branding Slipknot a mallcore band definitely is in the same league.

I agree. A whole article and no mention that all their songs are just covers of spice girls records.

I've heard the same.

Why do you use Wikipedia?

Why do you use Wikipedia?

Because i can find information on just about anything i need to know about. Answers.com is another alternative, but most of its entries are derived from wikipedia..

Hmmm.

Must be an ease-of-use marketing thingie.

I've only heard it referred to, haven't used it myself; I generally know where to look to find what I want to know.

Interestingly, when I say something like that, people assume I'm speaking of sites reflective of my own ideology (they'd be wrong, as usual); but it is ironic that Wikipedia is coming to be seen that way.

Reason, logic, experience and personal judgement become more important every day...;)

I find Wikipedia useful if I need to find out the height of one of WWE's wrestlers but less useful if I need to find an accurate summary of Elizabeth Gaskell's social novel North and South.

No, to abide Dave's unrelentingly foolish and unnecessary statements.

I didnt see where it mentioned anything called "mallcore" it gives the genre as alternative metal / nu metal.... the only other thing it does mention is the debate as to which genre category their music does fit into.

And where is it being biased against them?
