Yup, I pretty much agree with that.

I'm pretty condescending most of the time and you put me in the shade. In the second sentence, I'd have thought it thro' and used a different adverb, rather than using 'pretty' again.

However, I wouldn't expect you to write a whole two sentences without your prose causing me at least a little consternation. Don't you worry your head about it.

Sorry, that honor is reserved for foreigners, on this forum at least.

Just to clarify, Dave, I am not proficient at this activity you refer to as "rodding"; I recognize that it has facets of a colloquial nature I shall never be familiar with, but also that it overlaps comfortably enough with something I am rather good at, but which activity I reserve for use only in dealing with you.

I call it Dave-ball, and I only play when the mood suits me.

When it comes to "rodding", I am more than content merely to observe it's most excellent practitioners exercise their talents hereabout, and in that capacity I judge you at a lack by comparison.

They have you positively red-assed. :)

Just wipe your glasses j2k4, that'll sort out the condense.

You should stop using all those expensive words. People might think you're a wee bit uppity

I don't wear glasses except to read, Skweeks.

The words are the result of a mis-spent youth, going around grabbing up all of the spare and odd syllables I found lying about to save for later use; I've such a hoard of them now (I found an interest-bearing shelter) there is no fear of exhausting the supply.

I also have stores of punctuation, especially semi-colons, which I can use, and octothorps, which I cannot.

Would you like some?

################################################

Spend them freely, and remember, there's more where they came from. :)

BTW-I've always wanted to be uppity, and insufferable into the bargain, but have decided my aim is worthy of nothing beyond a cuddly curmudgeonliness, alas.

Actually, apart from a wee poke at Dave, I only bumped the thread for want of nostalgia, and a dream that died aborning. :(

I'm truthfully not inclined to question your level of accomplishment.

Would you agree to co-equal status, a 50-50 split of the profits and whatever participation you might manage in this thread? :)
