Just come back from Spain and bought a new psp while I was there.
However it has firmware 2.5.

Actually on pspupdates some guy made homebrew on all firmwares of the psp work using a GTA eploit but it will take a long time to get all firmware working. I think there are like 3 or 4 games that work like Tetris and Snake, ect.

2.5 isnt fully hacked yet. U can get like 2, 3 games running and thats about it. You need that older version, (1.5 i think?) to get homebrewed games.

^ What they said, with a 2.5 PSP the only homebrew you can play are like Pong, and Tetris... nothing too great.

Well there is a really good chance your PSP has dead pixels in the screen so all u have to do is return it in the 30 day warrenty that it should have and show them that ur PSP has dead pixels and they will let u swap your PSP but u better hope they give u the right version if they hand u a new one.
