i recently bought half life / counter strike / opposing force.

i dwld the V1016 patch and no cd crack, but i keep having problems (re-installing)

anyone done it?

i need help cos the instructions don&#39;t make much sense <_<

What kind of problems do you have reinstalling? Uninstall the game from Control Panel&#39;s Add/Remove Programs then try reinstalling. If that works runs the patch. After that I would think your no cd crack is an exe replacing the old one, so first make a backup copy of your old one. Either name it something like CstrikeOLD.exe or just some tag so you know what it is, then place the new one in the directory. That should work. And also make sure you download a crack for that version type.

the &#39;problem&#39; is that when i try to run the game after applying the patch and crack, i try to run the game but i get a message saying &#39;the game&#39;s been modified. check for viruses and install game again&#39;.

so i have to re-install again&#33; :(

you bought a secondhand half-life CD?
I guess you ripped then. a 2nd version = a pirated version. The CD-Key&#39;s been used and you can&#39;t play online and the only reason why anyone would buy a new original copy of HL ish for the unique CD key so that can play online. ;)

so if u want to sell the game why get a dodgy key that will work (maybe not online tho but is is possable ;) and sell it on ebay or somethin ... no need for a nocd crack then :rolleyes:

jus want to play the game without a cd.
the &#39;no cd loader&#39; i got doesn&#39;t even work.
and after using the patch, the game doesn&#39;t work, so i have to re-install.

yes so generate a cdkey that will let u play the game.. 99% will not work online anyway.... THAT was part of what i was geting at ;)

well for the patch the latest one that i know of is 1.1.1.0 or something like that and thats for halflife counterstrike is 1.5, so you might be installing a patch that the game wont recognise, go to www.planethalflife.com and get the latest patch from there, it should work.

I dont understand why you want to play the game without the cd though esp if you have an original copy. if you want to copy it get clonyxxl with clone cd and will get past protection on the disc but why you would want a nocd crack with the original game has baffled me im afraid.
