While all those other people were doing some stupid exam paper about trade unions, old people, Africa and war for two hours I decided to use the time more productively and did this-

Some of the old watchy people were looking at me a little funny and the girl to my right kept laughing when she saw it but other than that they let me get on with it.

With your ability I'm not sure you'll ever need "modern studies" anyway. Be proud that you produced a thing of beauty whilst your muleish companions produced boring useless dross.

I knew a lad who was a seriously talented artist. He was fecking great actually and eventually went to Glasgow School of Art. I say eventually because they wouldn't let him in without an English O Grade and it took him a couple of goes to get it. True Story.

Unfortunatley a lot of places have a similar view and sometimes one just has to pass the exams, muleish or not.

Excellent, have you decided where you want to go / what you want to do.

SpatulaGeekGirl

Glasgow School of Art probably. I dunno what I want to do yet. Animation, fine art, whatever. As long as I'm drawing, I'm happy.

Fine art is gheeeey. Cartoons, FTW.

You failed that exam, but at least you did something productive. The last exam I failed was because I slept through it.

Can I wish you well in that and say that you quite obviously have the artistic talent to succeed.

However can I also add that whatever you want to study it will be very competitive getting in and the better your results are in other subjects the better chance you have of getting onto the course you want.

I know that's an old man thing to say, unfortunately it is also true.

Just bear in mind that whenever you are studying pish that you don't give a feck about it's only a means towards an end. It's letting you do what you really want to.

You know it makes sence.

Good points well made I think and ones that SGG should recognise

I repeat them till I'm blue in the face (not a pretty sight) :frusty:

Lovely though the hand is I have suggested a butt kicking is in order but she begs to differ. However, I think I am right. :snooty:

She has Biology tomorrow and she assures me studying has been done despite it being her birthday so I will belay my butt kicking boot for the moment.

I however am totally right in what I said. Fact.

You'll also need the muleish exams when your degree in art (lol) fails to provide you with a way in which to earn any sort of a living.

FYI.

Agreed. Artists only make money once they've been dead 100 years. Unless they pickle sheep (or something)
