It's only supposed to demonstrate the new heavily upgraded Source Engine with added HDR and new facial rendering.

:dabs: no it isn't

it's an experiment in seeing if offering games bit by bit gets more money than full releases :pinch:

Yup, that's pretty much it.

Now that you mention it:

It's supposed to be a "trilogy", so each episode priced at $20 would generate $60!!!

And who would pay $60 for just one big expansion?

Farkin Steam Rshwholes.

I have the pvn release anyways, it's not like I paid for it. Did have a couple of missing textures, but meh, it's free:happy:

Tell me the setting you used to run the game and the fps you received using those settings.:)

Way too freakin' short. I mean it pretty much is the definition of 'short but sweet', but there's no way i think it's worth the £18 i paid. About 4 1/2 hours gameplay of just single player content....hmmm...

Well said! :)

Mostly is about what you said...

I've beaten the game weeks ago in about 2 and half hours
I don't know, i just prefer the bigger games that got more your attention

It isn't. It's a short continuation of the previous story that doesn't require the original to play.

Just imagine all the time it takes for concept art, storyline, then actual rendering/creation of the graphics. I wonder how much these people make...

Like what mike45450 (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/members/mike45450-9721) said
it [is] pretty much...the definition of 'short but sweet'

i beat it earlier this year like a week after it came out. i think valve is releasing episodes to try something new or to keep the bitching down on a next game release. but either way there is bitching from somebody.

i still have yet to play this and still have yet to beat hl2. i'd prob beat ep1 for the simple fact that i think this is a great idea. 15 years ago i could sit in front of any game put in front of me and beat it within days no matter how long it was. lol, i remember i had a 4 day weekend and all i did was play breathe of fire 1. i beat that joker within that time. now? it would prob take me a year or maybe more. it's just i lose interest very fast. that and online fps' just rule to much and they won't let me do anything else. so, 4-5 hours of single player is ideal for me and that's worth $20. episode two has been pushed back.
