i'm planning to get a modchip for PS2 , but dont know which kind works good and also decent affordable price.. thanks for stoping by my thread! :D

Well you got 2 types of modding... Solderless and Hardwired.

Hardwired - Must have wire connections soldered to points on motherboard
Solderless - Plug n play style still needs PS2 to be opened but its just a matter pf plugging 2 wires in to the chip.

Hardwire:

I would recommend these 2 chips... Both are compatible with all versions of PS2 including Slimline.

DMS4 SE / LITE
Matrix Infinity

Solderless

PnP Key

Obviousley having a hardwire is better because its easier to use rather than swapping discs which the solderless version needs plus you can do extra stuff with it such as having homebrew on your machine.
