Download using Irc on Trillian. Anyone?

Ok, I used to use mirc only now I want to use irc with trillian. I know how to get into chanels and such but I can't get into rooms.
Like, I'll get into a chanel I want and do the whole "!list"
and then I'll pick the /ctcp that I happen to want. Only then nothing happens. It never takes me to that person's room thing.
Anyone know how to help?

I'm pretty sure the Trillian IRC client is geared for actually chatting and doesn't have the IRC file transfer features required for using IRC download bots
