Anyone know what happened to OpenFT? It started out looking amazing and now there hasn't been any updates to giFT in over a year... Just curious what the word is...

Well other sharing programs were started out of that are updated:
Kceasy (Windows)
..and Apollon(Linux), Poisoned(Mac OS X)

Updates to those apps have been sparse and limited to GUI and plugin updates. The giFT core hasn't been updated in a over a year and a half. The giFT and OpenFT SourceForge sites still live, but there is no activity or updates... Very odd and silent demise for such a beautiful and promising beginning.

Gnutella, Ares & FastTrack, OpenFT people, ain't that enough ? FastTrack was later on the problem, they didn't want fakes, but everything else works fine, clients that are on more networks never were updated much, as long as it works. The same people started to work further on Kceasy and it is updated (KCeasy 0.18 released [2006-07-17]). I can open the giFT page (http://gift.sourceforge.net/about.mhtml), but why use it ? Why don't you like GUI ?
