Hi All,

Firstly let me welcome you all to the new server, a long time in the planning but we are finally here! You may have noticed already, but I have opened registration on the site again for an indefinite time, instead of inviting people you can merely tell them to come to the site and they can signup. In fact if you do invite people, the invite will not work so do not waste them. The reason for open registration is to get some new blood into the site and help out peoples ratios.If you look at the stats, towards the bottom of the main page, we currently have many more Seeders than Leechers and while that is an encouraging thing it is also indicative of people needing a bit of help with their ratios.

The other thing that has allowed me to do this is that as we have moved to the new server we now have plenty of room to grow, in fact if you have a look at the server stats at the bottom of the main page, you may notice that the Global server usage is now 1% whereas it used to be 29% on average and the tracker load is now less than 1 whereas it used to average about 4 or so. This indicates to me we can handle having many thousands more people on the site and I believe also that by opening the site to free registration every once in a while this will encourage cappers to release on the site as they will be able to direct people here with no fear of having to go through a complicated invite procedure.

I hope you all agree with my decision and are encouraged to direct people here, please feel free to tell your family, friends and forum members (except aussietorrents, I've already told them ) to come in a register, it may be the best thing they do for themselves in the next week, 'cause lets face it, it's a bloody honour to be a member of this site
