Does anyone know any good/easy ways to remember stuff coz I've got a French oral exam on Monday and I really can't remember anything I'm meant to say. I haven't had much time to revise because of these forums not allowing me to leave. :)

don' t try to memorise it all ....just memorise bits of it and make it up as you go along :)
the more you stress about recalling word for word, you'll just forget more and stress urself out.

Alternatively give modem to parents and don't let them give it back to you till exam are over.

I wouldn't mind doing french and oral with my french teacher, she's damn hot. She's a french student teacher, about 20 or so :D

And no, don't ban me or I'd have to find where you live and....and...and erm write you a nasty, anonymous, letter :D

DarthInsinuate remembers things by associating them with things, or something that happens.

err, its difficult to explain, but when you think of 'poubelle' think of a bin man called poubelle, or with poubelle tattooed on his face

poubelle is french for bin by the way

if you have a "speach" to learn, then record yourself saying it, and play it over and over, whilst browsing this forum, and you'll be amazed how much goes in. i did this for a fifteen minute french presentation, it really does work :D

and if its for a kinda chat, then just try to kick back and chat french with your mates...try to avoid using english as much as poss

I always make words and memorize these

example: you have to know the following words

-cat
-unicorn
-dear
-dent
-laughter
-enough

take the first letters, that makes 'cuddle'.....u have to be a bit creative with it ofcourse, but it's easier to learn 10 words by heart then 50...and the first letter of a word gives away alot....

depends what you want to remember.

I remember some stuff I have to recall frequently @ work by making the odd little rhyme about it.

What the hell are you taking FRENCH for? Plan on visiting france? Want to see if the waiter at one of those restaurants are making fun of you, eh? Tell the French to learn your language instead.
