New Site Coming Soon

I am in the process of setting up BitTorrent Site and looking for some FST members, who have some experience, to help me with a few aspects. This is it's addy SEEDIT (http://seedit.mensap2p.com:9000/index.html)

If you have experience in, HTML, TorrentFlux etc, and fancy being Admin or Mod on the site, please let me know..some details ( a CV lol) of you experience would be useful. You will need to be a FST member too.

Just so you know, it will probably remain private, invites only and is *primarily intended for music files, there will be a supporting forum too, hopefully Invision but it will probably be VBulletin.

I seriously doubt BNBT would be able to handle that much of a load if you started posting alot of files on the site and got alot of peers.

You would be surprised what this light weight server is capable of...but this is the the begin and maybe, in time, better software will be available... but thanks for your information... :)

I acctually ran BNBT like 4 yrs ago or so... it sucked im telling you from experience hehehe

TBdev/source runs much smoother but whatever floats your boat.

What a day it's been I have Googled found and downloaded 3 different trackers, eventually found this also to download TBdev/source....played with the idea of setting up a Linux server.. to difficult for me...I need it oniline now. If you have any more ideas then..I am often to be found hanging out in FileSahingTalk.com's chat channel on Soulseek, so if any of you have any further brain waves, you can find me there. Thanks for all your contributions... Still looking for a kewl design for the frontpage and a logo...

Now..after being informed what that scp problem meant..I can't see where the problem is.. firstly it's a free site, no donations..second it's invite only..and you have to be a member of this board..and 3 I have been a member here coming on 4 years..so I am not likely to screw anyone up here now am I ..except maybe you ;)

I just hope i have dibs on the site and i wonder what policies it would run under. There are too many sites you must seed 1:1 because it makes it harder for some people to keep ratios.....i keep higher ratios personally but others cannot....but can't wait anyway!!!!!!

only recommendation i'll give u....

have the 1st 3 months server costs available before u start.
any site i join that starts sending mass pm's asking for donations in the 1st 3 months, i'll visit delacct.php and quickly remove my account.

dont expect members to donate in the early stages. alot of ppl will be very cautious about donating to a new site, that may not last very long.
