This is a digital bulletin board, like. They are like posters on one such.

Or posted notices, maybe.

hmmm - i think what "Snee" said is in line with what i understand it to be - in the "old" days we had bulletin boards - like "stickies" you put on refridgerator doors - you "posted" something - thats where it comes from i guess :)

An upright consisting of a piece of timber or metal fixed firmly in an upright position.

A column of wood or steel or concrete that is driven into the ground to provide support for a structure

The original message boards go back to the stoneage times, and then it looked slightly different. It was rather large and cumbersome to carry as it weighed about 240 cwt, yet the name "post" remains to this day.

But what about the post hole?

:O ..questions, questions...

This is actually a very good question VB, one that needs full-filling, possibly with a post.

One has just in fact appeared in the middle of Piccadilly Circus. blocking all traffic. The last news I heard was that the police have arrived and are looking into it.

New is, that Adster, professional spammer, who has been posting ( making posts) probably for some Canadian Tree felling company, didn't know what a "post" is. This information, is covered already on the first page of "The Spammer's Guide to the GalaxY"!!!
