Postal 2 + Geforce 4 Mx440 Help

I have a P4 1.7ghz, 256 megs ram with a Geforce 4 mx440 3D card, yet Postal 2 runs like crap... I can play other games like Enter The Matrix, which require the same power perfectly, any ideas of how to get better performance?

indeed. GF4 440MX sucks bigtime. it is incompatible with DirectX 9.0 as far as i know, or at least its giving problems.

my old pc has a geforce mx440 in it and it runs every game out there fine. i don't know why every one says the card sucks. it can runs every game currently out there just fine. my old pc stats:

try messing with the performanvce settings. postal 2 runs fine on it.

geforce 4 mx440 ddr does not suck, i use one and now , my games run smoothly, (compared to my voodoo4 or tnt2) you lot have obviously judged it by its price, which is a bad judging perimiter since you lot get top notch games off kazaa for free

Make sure you have the latest drivers from nvidia.com...
make sure no other prgrams are running in the backround..

hate to tell u but its not the Video Card its the owner. i have Postal 2 and my spec are 2.4 Ghz P4 520 DDR Ram 64Mb Intel Extreme Graphic Card and that is one crappy video card and it runs perfectly smooth. mess around with ur setting in the Game and PC.

WHY IS EVERYONE BEING SO RUDE? I don't like what is happening to this board. Jesus Christ, if you've solved a similar problem just post a possible solution. Don't just post a message to say "this card sucks" or "you're a moron"! That doesn't accomplish anything, and it makes people less likely to help YOU when you need help.

Vamp, as some of the more helpful people have said, try updating you drivers from the manufacturer's website and lowering your resolution and other display settings within the game. You could also try defragging your hard drive and tweaking your virtual memory settings. As for your question about why one game runs smoothly while another one doesn't - it's just a matter of quality. Some developers can make a game that runs smoothly at a high resolution, while others don't. Maybe if they release an update patch for the game, it might help. But for now you just might have to play at a lower res.

Ok, I lowered all the settings to low, and the game runs alright, but nothwing amazing... Do you other Mx440ers play with the same low settings?

GEFORCE-FX 5200. sucks big time also. It is mx card with directx 9 support. pretty sad lol

Actually, idiot, The Mx440 is twice as fast as a Geforce 2 ultra... The FX5200 if a fucking shit card, sounds like a fucking leaf-blower...I&#39;m getting the FX5900 in 2 weeks...That&#39;s a card.
