the only thing i know about this new sites is that in scn there are 80 members or so and weird site, rts only know the staff from fst and seems good. :\

I'm not even going to get into this. All I will say is that someone who can't get into a private tracker has no right to try to "get back at them." The owners have the final say in how exclusive the tracker is, that's the reality of private trackers. They can't allow every single person in.

I mean, what they are trying to do is quite sensible.

Firstly, they are trying to get people with seedboxes to try and build a fast tracker. Of course, most of the people with seedbox are good torrent users because they are investing $$$ on it, so with this they have a good community to start with.

If they were to invite just every person then, the site will most likely be not as good as speeds are not as fast, forums are not as active and etc. Remember, these SysOps invested their time and money on this and they will do everything they can to make the site as good as possible!

I don't see anything wrong with offering invites to a select few!

I have no delusions about trackers not being able to survive w/o seedboxes, I'm just saying we've had a few of these "super private trackers" popping up lately and you can see why people on "normal" connections get frustrated.

So all the "publicity" threads were them trying to stay out of the spotlight right? LOL :lol: Well hopefully both sites get it together and can last. Who cares which one is better? When they are up and running and people begin to give invites, the new members will decide which is going to be "better". If the sole purpose of setting up a private tracker is to get on the 4.5 to 5 lvl list, then they are doing it for the wrong reasons.

All I can suggest is the RTS takes thier time and makes sure they put out a kickass tracker. Get the support stucture in place and everything else should be cake. Wish them both the best. The community could always use a few more elite trackers.

SCN Pre-times bad (based on 24/Heroes), RTS Pre-times worse (from what I've heard - 24/Heroes).
