Question about Oink

i invited someone from this forum to oink,
as a part of a trade, and few hours later
his account have been disabled. i don't know
the details yet so i won't post it in the scamers
thread right now, but all my invites (3) disapeared
at the moment, but i didn't get any PM from the
system or from a moderator.

my Question is: will i ever get these invites back and
is my account in imediate dnager of being disabled?

Yes it can. That's why it's best to make friends with people first and then trade with them. That way you know (better) if they're likely to screw you over. Unfortunately, even friends can be dumb enough not to get a new IP before signing up somewhere they've been banned before :frusty:...

Why did I lose all my invites? How do I get them back?

1. You were demoted from PowerUser+ to User+. This happens if your ratio falls below 0.95. Once you reach 1.05 again you will be promoted back to PowerUser+ and get 4 invites again.

Abusing this (getting demoted and repromoted on purpose to get more invites) will result in permanent loss of all current and future invites, or even the account.

2. You previously invited a friend who got banned, and now invited that person again. You will not get your invites back nor new ones in any way.

3. (At least) one of your invitees cheated. You will not get your invites back nor new ones in any way. If you must know which one it was, go to your 'My Invites' -page. Disabled users have a http://oink.me.uk/pic/disabledbig.gif -sign next to their ratio. If there are several disabled users, it's probably the one with highest ratio or no ratio at all.

Can an invitee affect my account?

Other than the cases mentioned above (inviting a banned user again or a cheater), an invitee can't affect your account. So even if they get banned for low ratio, or deleted for inactivity, there are no consequences for you.

from now on, at least on the accounts i really
care about, and yes, Oink was one of them
