Now here is question...What should I waste hard earned money on??? In this corner we The Sweet but Sexy Radeon 9800 pro 256 edition, and In the other corner we have the Loud But Proud Geforce FX 5800!!! I know there will be some telling me to wait a few months till the prices drop...Only one supports HDTV...Oh wait do I see another contender running to the ring???It's the FX's younger but stronger Brother the FX 5900 and they are trading places...Can They do that???? Seriously though I would like some input on this topic before I shell out up to 800 canadian on the most tricked out GPU for a couple of months...I want to buy the best so it will carry me over for awhile instead of buying a low range or a mid range card more often...I want to hear from all the fanboys of each camp informing me of all their merits...

I say buy a Geforce 4 Ti4600.

Then, with all the money you save:-
- Go on holiday.
- Buy your girlfriend/ wife something nice.
- Decorate your home.
- I could go on, and on, and on, and on......

You get my drift..................?

It's summer and there's more to life :)

Everywhere I read i'm told the radeon 9800 can come close and sometimes beat the fx cards in benchmarks plus the radeon's are cheaper and don't need two agp slots (one for the card, another for the fan)

The geforce fx 5900 is the best card on the market, plain and simple. Cant beat at the moment.

if you got the cash to blow, do it. yes the 9800 is close, but thats close, and in high resolutions, with 2x, and 4x AA the 5900 puts it to shame.
