17th may.

The absurd thing is if you take pictures of the events around you in 2007 it looks like 1930.

They dress up all proper, if possible dress up in traditional clothes from their great ancestors. Then for breakfast drink home made booze,smear pig fat on their bread and wave flags saying "hurrah".

The alternative scene go to Cuba (a ufo landing platform) and not dance to groovy music. (drinking booze outdoors is illegal)

Children have a great time cause they get ice cream and the national dish. Soggy pancake surrounding a luke warm sausage. Food culture?

Highschool students have already been celebrating this day for one month, by , buying a mega van, renting a driver so they can party their asses off (better than a prom), however they have to where "uniforms" whith predesigned funky logos on them - all this would cost each student atleast 1000$ for basics. The day after tomorrow they have their final exams.

How mental is that?

Either zed is making a lot of that up, talking about very few people or norwegians are more mental than I thought.

I don't even remember when our national day is, and we never do owt special that day, at least not the people I know.

I think we get the day off, possibly.
