Good Afternoon

I was just chatting to Leasewb through their live chat (looking at an Express server to use as a seedbox) and although i didn't say what i wanted it for the operator sent me a message saying no seeding/childporn allowed.

How do you guys hide what your doing form Leaseweb ?

Thanks

operator sent me a message saying no seeding/childporn allowed.

Be careful, a guy was sentenced 200 years just for possessing child pron pics on his hdd.

all very interesting but not what i want it for so largely irrelevant.

do you encrypt your HD somehow ? And can they tell anyway from the traffic statistics ?

He can't leave the jail even after he dies in jail. He should be there, whether alive or dead, until his 200 year sentence is finished.

Unless you're hurting Leaseweb's network (which you wont be using an express server with a badnwith limit), I doubt that they'll care that you're using the server for bittorrent. This is in NL, after all.

Very true. Another benefit of having a dedicated connection. Our traffic isn't infringing on other's bandwidth.

Unless you're on the 10mbit or 100mbit flatfee plans (though I'm not sure even those aren't), you're on shared bandwidth. Leaseweb just has more bandwidth than the other "grey market" datacenters out there, and they charge enough to not oversell it.

Anyway, as far as Leaseweb knowing what you're doing, everyone with the money to torrent there does, and Leaseweb has yet to care about it. Copyright law enforcement tends to be pretty lax in NL. Its probably not worth bothering with encryption.
