My ranking and why I think so:

1) HDBits (because 18k users, 30-40 new torrents a day and most importantly quite a few non-scene releases make this the most active highdef-tracker I know, amazing speeds and an easy to maintain ratio don't hurt either)
2) BiT-HDTV (because there's no way to beat HDBits at the moment, despite their 20-30 torrents a day; less non-scene content which usually means mediocre quality)
3) scenehd (I wouldn't mention this without their 50% download policy, only about 10 scene-only torrents a day make this a good place to start with, as signups are still open)


Depending on your situation (highdef-junkie or hd-newbie) you might want to choose differently.

No need to say much more than this, so big is the difference between hdbits and the others. Tremendous (in a lot of cases exclusive) content, great speeds, very good community and lots of freebies. Cant ask for more.

No doubts about it, SceneHD is pretty good though.

I dont like SceneHD that much, exactely because it's only scene. Right now in HD, scene doesnt equal quality. Quite the opposite to be honest (with very few exceptions). It's about the highest quality possible, not who races faster.

He didn't specify which type of media. Music, Movies, TV? I use OiNK for all my HD music and HDbits and pisexy for HD movies. And ScT and TL for HD TV
