Hello, I haven't been in the world of torrents long, but im learning heaps from just watching all you guys on here asking questions and posting answers.
I joined up here not long ago and I was very lucky to have someone give me a TL invite and i joined up and have done the right thing and got my ratio up to 1:1 so hopefully i can give invites out in the near future.
After looking around the forums it seems Sct gets great raps and i was wondering if it is worth me hunting down an invite in the near future, or is it pretty much the same as TL.
Thanks.:)

Firstly, welcome to FST :)

ScT is worth a shot of hunting if you have above 1MB/sec + DL speeds. Otherwise, TL does the job fine for all those scene releases.

Thanks for the welcome.
My current connection is faster than that, so thanks, i look to forward to getting on there.

1500/256 plan, I can't go any faster at my exchange yet. :-(

state simply, do you mean 1000 kilobytes or 1000 kilobits per second?

I dunno, im saying like 1 mb/sec meaning it would take 350 seconds to download a 350mb avi file such as Heroes:P haha

I think TL should be fine with a 1500/256 connection. His max download rate is 187.5kB/s, max upload rate is 32kB/s. It may be difficult to keep your ratio at 1 competing against seedboxes at ScT.

Of course, if you want an ScT account simply because its rarer or hopefully obtain invites to ScT as a future bargaining chip, well that's another story.

Then you mean to say 1 MB/s and not 1 Mb/s. :P

I never turn off my computer , thats the only way i manage to keep my ratios over 1

just to make it clear:

8 kbits (kb) = 1 kbytes (kB)

1 Mb/s = 0,125 MB/s

8 Mb/s = 1 MB/s

With that connection ScT is not for you, TL do perfectly the job.

Mm, my home connection is 24/1 MB/SEC and i seem to only use ScT for its pr0n and its pr0n packs :lol::naughty::naughty: Seeding is the hard part, thats were good old Vectoral comes in handy :D
