Just get Still Got the Blues for You.

Perfect example of what a hollow body Gibson (ES335?) can do.

You can't blame me for not knowing who he is!

I'm only 24.
My musical history starts with the Spice Girls

Yes I can, most definitely I can.

Gibson even made a new Les Paul and called it after him FFS.

Sextent
05-28-2007, 06:40 PM
He's more likely to play vintage models himself like, but that's not the point.

Sextent
05-28-2007, 06:42 PM
This is the one they named after him.

You'll have a ball, he's on great form.

Played for about 1h45m and was excellent.

If that Otis chap is doing the full tour they are well worth seeing as well.

No it's a Les Paul, obviousement. They do "signature" guitars sometimes.

He's more likely to use a vintage goldtop tho'.

He also used a Telecaster and what looked like an ES335 (which is not a Les Paul by the way, it's a semi-acoustic with two cut-outs)

Here's one

The one he used looked pretty much identical to that.

He uses that when he's going for the "BB King" type sound.

Ignore Skweeky, no burd has ever been able to play or even understand the guitar. It's even worse than parallel parking for the wee souls.

Oh and you can get a Hagstrom that looks a lot like that for a reasonable price. My mate imported one, I think from Canadia and even allowing for shipping etc it was very reasonable. Nice thing to play as well.

I think they are re-inventing themselves so there are good deals to be had.

I'd have the ES335 obviousement, but for the money the Hagstrom is a great buy.

I'll never be able to play one of those guitars, not just cause I couldn't afford one but cause the chances of finding a left-handed one are less than the chances of The getting a life and getting laid etc.

This is the ES345

I think the Hagstrom was between £300 and £400. They haven't been making stuff for ages and are trying to get their name going again. Then the prices will go back up.

Oh and because it was imported that price included a proper, quality hard case. It's seems the Canadians and Americans don't understand the concept of not getting one as standard.

I bought a proper, quality hard case for my SP6 like, never had a chance/need to use it yet tho'.

edit: when the guitar was delivered, it was in a cardboard box, like.

For most people you rarely need it, unless you are gigging a lot, or moving around the place on planes.

However even if that's rare then it's worth having the case. It only takes one accident to fuck up your guitar.

Yeah but he'd also have a vintage Black Beauty so he would need one.

That's my fave btw. I think it's gorgeous.

That was between 54 and 57. Then they changed it to 3 humbuckers. I prefer the 2.
