Hoi Henderson, if we say words will you tell us what they make you think of.

Bibliography - The thread where Henderson said he thought euphemism was a religion.

I'll start, in expectation of your cooperation.

Artichoke.

Artichoke= a Green Tie! Using the popular visual art form of the 60's (Op Art) Artichokes grow rapidly in the spring and being related to the common Scotch Thistle, it is advised, not to be worn for long periods of time during hedgemony Hogmanay, as this will cause (red) rashes to appear around the neck after prolonged contact with, alcohol ..

This is like a test of my imagination.

Coincidently, I'm reading this book about memory (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/p-what-book-you-currently-reading-post2007068/postcount661) that was recommended to me by a professor of mine who is also British (again). It's given me some nifty tips on how to remember stuff from lists, names, speeches, etc.

I always knew, intuitively, that memory is all about association but the book has shown me that it's all about ridiculous association built upon "original awareness", that is stuff you already know. It's really neat and I've only gotten to page 41 because I'm stuck on school work and memorizing intangible stuff takes a lot longer but that's basically what I'm doing here.

Artichoke - Jerusalem artichoke (plant), antichrist :dabs: Hey, it works for me.

Ostentatious - "intended to attract notice and impress others"; in other words 'showy'...Ostrich-dacious :naughty:, a bodacious ostrich, back to Ostentatious...:ermm: It just helps.

Anywho, when you do this it of course helps your creativity (expands your imagination) according to the book.

Ubiquitous - You're, bleak (barren) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v383/Hairbautt/Smilies/PointBlameLeft.gif while meaning everywhere...err...omnipresent. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v383/Hairbautt/Smilies/Thinking.gifI first thought of Ubisoft. Maybe I game too much.

Don't analyze it, I just want to know what it makes you think of. Not the meaning of the word, just what pops into your head.

It's more difficult to free associate if you over analyze everything you say. It detracts from the creative process.
