forbidden

Lately we have noticed a few "giveaways" at public forums such as FST and TorrentPortal. We would like for every user to know that it is strictly forbidden to giveaway invites at any public forum, this includes the Bittorrent Invites section of FST.

Any user not obeying these rules will immediately have their account disabled.

If you would like to giveaway invites at another torrent site, please PM a staff member either here or in IRC.

every tracker says that. Skizo says it's fine to offer them on this forum, so don't worry.

Don't post stuff like this without proof. He's giving the invites away not trading them so how is he gonna scam anyone?

I just think tit for tat... You are giving away their site URL and asking people to go against their rules.. So why shouldn't it be the same for your site? :whistling

They broke the agreement, so they had their site filter removed. RTS has an agreement with FST similar to WB and NB. Thats why if you say f******.net, r**************, the words are filtered as part of the agreement...

Well I think if a tracker gets an influx of cheaters and duplicate accounts due to trading and giveaway's they should be allowed to change their "agreement". I think ANYONE who trades FTN here will get banned from the tracker and rightly so. That doesnt mean that their URL filter will be removed. And I would suggest if you are soooo picky about your site url and "enter848" code entry (which by the way is all over the place including most forums!) then maybe u should tell your users to stop using this bar:

That userbar is fine, it shows the site name, you went one step futher and provided the link to the site by bypassing filters which is a board rule :). Anyhow, you can express your opinon however you wish, just don't break the board rules.

Anyhow, u could have modified my post.. deleting it was unnecessary.

And I think, being staff of a tracker yourself, you should respect other tracker's wishes and keep their URL private too. If you want to be fair, be fair to everyone, not just to those where you have vested private interests with.

This has been discussed to death. I'm starting to feel like a broken record at times.

If they didn't feel the agreement was beneficial to them any longer, but they wanted to keep the same preferential treatment, they should have expressed their concerns to the staff and we would have tried to work out a different agreement that would be beneficial to both parties. Instead, they chose to just disregard the stipulations of the agreement, and so we returned their status at FST back to a normal one. There hasn't been any backlash so to speak, they just aren't filtered any longer and we don't moderate trades that are involving their account.

Pretty simple, really. :dabs:
