bitlord sucks, along with bitcomet, everything else. why do you not like utorrent? its one of the best decent clients out atm.. azureus is the other decent client. everything else pretty much sucks. besides, its banned (bitlord) on a lot of private trackers.

Take your time to set up utorrent and learn how it work. utorrent is the best.

if your going to use bitlord then forget about downloading anything form a private tracker.

bitlord is NOT the alternative to use, Definitely try to work it and figure it out, after trying a bunch of them I settled on Utorrent.

You can try Azureus...

yeah, azureus is fine if you have plenty ram and a good processor.

Well you can try halite. It lacks some features, but its open source and most private trackers allow it. Just add a note to your profile that you are using it so if theirs a problem they wont complain. Bitmetv is currently experimenting with it also.

Bitmetv

until further notice, consider this the bitmetv position on halite: some of us think it looks promising, but it is in early stages, so it may produce errors (as with all clients in development, there is some small risk with using this client). So far, we have seen no signifigant errors that would result in false stats being reported to the tracker, so this client is allowed for limited testing at bitmetv. If you wish to test this client, we ask that you do three (2, really) things:
1. go to your user/cp page, and enter a comment in the "info" box that you are testing this client (so any anomalies that MAY occur will not be mis-interpreted)
2. post in this thread that you will be testing this client (any bugs/issues you discover would be nice to see in this thread as well, along with reporting them officially to Halite developer(s) )
3. PLEASE report your results/findings/critiques on the Halite forums so that this client can get the help it needs
