Right now I consider there to be 6 levels in being a gamer/movie

1: Non Gamer/: Someone who doesn't play games.

2: Casual: Someone who plays the occasional game.

3: Gamer/Movie Addict: Someone who enjoys playing games.

4: Hardcore: Someone who's one-step behind being extreme.

5: Extreme: Someone who has the top of the range equiptment and has a wealth of knowledge around gaming

I am a:

Hardcore Gamer: I have a PS2, Xbox and Dreamcast, Know alot about games, have made a few simple games and own a good PC (P4, 1.7ghz, 256 megs ram, Geforce 4 Mx440, it's not brilliant but adequate) I think that as soon as I get my PS2 and Xbox chip, I'll get a ton of games, and move onto Extreme status, or do you guys think I'd have to deck out my PC as well? Though I consider gaming to be a mainly console affair. (My one friend has a PS2, Xbox, Gamecube and a Kick Ass PC, and over 150 games for each system, but he prefers console gaming to PC gaming...He claims that Console gaming has more atmosphere because they're made specifically for games...I think he means that when you play a PC game, you might get distracted with things, like graphics options, games crashing etc.)

I think you should upgrade your pc and number of friends.

the way i see it there are a few different ratings for topics:

1. Very important (possibly started by a higher power)
2. important. a lot of interest
3. a little important
4. banal. boring, not worth the time to read
5. this topic
6. adthomp :P

edit: you said there were 6 levels but only listed 5

If he's such a hardcore gamer on his way to extreme, then one day the mighty gimp level. Why has he had to ask for so much help.5 topics asking for advice and one telling us how much he knows about games.

I was talking about the other topics you have started, which is about 7 now, all asking for help.

I think you have reached level 6.
