By the time the game comes out youd be able to run it on a pentium 2 computer!

Think it'll run on a Geforce 4 MX440?

The longer the game is in development the worse it looks! it will run as long as you have a video card that works good with shadows and bump mapping and partical effects.

At least 700+mhz and 256MB RAM... That's with taking the spactacular graphics into account... But hey it's just a guess :D

Good lord. Those would be minimum requirements if the game had been released last year. I guarantee you're going to need at least a 1.4GHz processor, with 512MB of decent RAM.

Minimum requirements don't jump drastically. It's in the best interest of the gaming companies to make their product as accessible to as many people as possible, not just the people with the bleeding edge machines.

Actually not sure what some of the companies are thinking when they post minimum requirements-the point of going from a slide show to actually being able to play a bearable frame rate-I know some games just aren't playable at minimum requirments.

Recondmended is probably

Intel Pentium 4 3.0ghz+
or
AMD Athlon XP 3200+ Barton

Some ATI or geforce 128mb card
512mb ram

Ya well thats my opinion

One word and a number: SimCity 4...

Like twigboy hinted at; companies lie about their game's minimum requirements.

Some games, like Battlefield 1942, won't even start if you're below the minimum requirements. But others, like Vice City, actually play fine below the min (for me at least). I'm hoping that's also the case with Doom 3.

It will run on GF3 Ti500 (I belive HL2 will also be able to) You will need at least 1Ghz. 256 RAM. Just play the leaked version to find out if ur comp can handle it.

That's a pre-release alpha version that has not yet been optimized. I'm sure the finished game will support lower system specs, but I expect the minimum will be at least 800Mhz CPU, 128MB RAM, and 64MB Geforce or ATI video card.

Well think about it this way theire releasing it for the X box and Carmack said that by the time its released that it will run on a 400 mhz cpu you just need a good video card.

400MHz my ass... UT2k3 doesn't even run on 400MHz, and DOOM 3 is supposed to be a whole lot better.
