I have epox 8rda, but am not using onboard sound. I have a creative audigy 2 and want to wire my front panel headphone jack and mic socket to it.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

All you need is 2 cables with stereo mini jacks on each end. (here in the US you can buy them at RadioShack for just a few dollars)
You will cut the jacks off of one end and these will be wired to the jacks on your front panel.
Typically there will be 3 wires. 1 negative(black) and the other 2 will be the positive left(white) and positive right(red) channel. They will share the negative(or common) wire. (instead of using 4 wires for the left and right channels)

After soldering(or connecting) these bare wires than you run these new cables through your PC case, out the back and plug them into your sound card.

That should be it.

Thanks mate for that.

Is that really the easiest way though? Crikey. I thought it would be a case of connecting the front panel connectors to my sound card or motherboard.

I suppose some soundcards come with connectors directly on the PCB just for that purpose.
