ok I have an assignment due in like 6 hrs to hand in Ive just ran out of ink I want to put it on floppy but guess what its now working!!!!

i put a disk it it says it has to format the disk which is BS

okk I try to format it again the bar reachs 100% and it says windows was unable to complete the format.

next problem I try a quick format different thing happens says close the disk utilites that i have running becaseu its using the a: drive

what the f*ck to do I cnat get ink shops are shut Im in shit!!

have you tried different floppies? usually when it says it cant complete the format its because the disc is corrupted (although the floppy drive may have some kind of a grudge against you). if you havent already, try that.

yes I have tryed different floppies

it can read and open other documetns from floppies but wont save or format

If you have a cd burner just burn it on a cd. If not then Email it to someone you know with a printer.

yep thanks for the tip I email it to myslef at the crap email adders with hotmail and am going to go to the uni and print it from there

however the question is whats goin gon here why isnt it working???
what it mean by a disk utilites is bein in use with that drive i dont understand I have nortons utilites could it be something to do with that??

You might just have a bad floppy drive. When one of mine went bad, it did something like that. Just goto the local electronic store or something, they are dirt cheap.

Try restarting the computer and attempting the format again.
You might also try using the command prompt (dos) and type format a:

As for the disk utilities I am not sure, a restart usually clears up a few bugs.
Have you ran scandisk on the floppys yet? Once I had 5 bad floppys, might have been due to fact that they were never used but old....lol.
