Yeah, a Web design world has been proposed but a quick no was received by Paul. But a sub-section of software world devoted to it is great as it means the forum will be more organized and make it easier for us to get to find what were looking for as a large percentage of software world is about website problems\questions etc.

edit: oops. kind of read it wrong, but I suppose graphics design is related to web design.

You got a link for that forum mate?

Graphics and web design are much closer related to k-lite and the forum the book world though right?

this is renderosity (http://www.renderosity.com)

good site in my opinion

still like to see a graphics and design sub section on here

@EsssBee - it would be Kazaa related if it included verified links to graphics & design downloads - just a thought

cant argue with that man

it would be cool though to get hashes for virus free daz3d models and stuff

If we had a place to host small sized 3D projects.. we could just swap em back and forth very fast (no need for slow hashes cause they're 1 userhosted files)

I like the idea of a sub-section in graphics. Thanks for sharing the rendersoity site.

But this topic should really have been posted in "About our Website and this Forum"

Maybe if we get more people to agree with the idea, it might just happen!

Wow
I thought this topic was going down in flames and nobody really cared.
I posted it here first just to see what everyone thought.
It's a natural choice to be a subsection in Softwareworld.
After all it is software.
I think if we petition them they would at least post a temporary subsection in here to see how it goes.
It could be all inclusive when it comes to graphics, wether it be web or otherwise.
I may be being selfish here as I am a newcomer to these types of programs and need lots of info.

Hey Balamm!
I know your out there somewhere.
Your a mod now, why don't you move this to "about our website and this forum" for us.
I think this kind of growth is great for this forum.

Thanks for the Renderosity link.
I will use it, but I would love a place like that right here.

Yeah, a petition usually works and that's far different from a protest.

If there is enough of us that want it surely it'll happen. Remember it'll be a sub section and won't cause much difference to how much work the mods do or how much the people post as any time there is a problem it's posted in software section anyway. This would just keep things easier and could even reduce the work of the mods as some people won't know where to ask for help on building a site or producing graphics.

Lets do it. :D

lol No fair!
I could get impeached or something.
(What is impeached anyway? expensive dinners with lawyers and a bit of media attention or something?)

Anyway, I count 11 posts here so far. If it takes off, I'll see about getting it pinned or something. How's that?

I'll make a contribution here to hopefully spark something. I used to host some of this stuff when I started this server but kinda lost touch with it. Unfortunately some of the best work is gone or changed so much I don't recognise it.
I did pick out some of the better ones though as examples. Take a look >>>

Hey that dude is pretty good!
Some of them give me the creeps.
Especially this one http://www.arseiam.com/fx/05.htm

Maybe we should start a poll! :D
There are a ton of graphic program questions in here so...I don't think it'll be too much of a problem.
Pinned would be good too!

I agree.. maybe call the Sub topic in softwareworld "Media Creation" or something... This could be a place for Graphics, Music, etc creators.

ShockAndAwe^i^

I wonder why more people are not commenting about this?
I swear there must be at least 2 or 3 graphic program questions a day.
Probably every 2 out of every ten questions are related in some way to graphic and design.
C'mon people, chime in!

Hello,

as someone already mentioned, you should visit http://www.renderosity.com
It is a Community of 3D and 2D Artists. There you also find many Bryce Images -
Bryce is the Nice Ice tool with which you can easily share your thoughts and dreams openly by creating easily you own worlds or showing other people your dreams :) And with Poser you can add people to Bryce, which also probably occurs
in your dreams. There are also animals and more...

I obviously also have had my own gallery on renderosity, but unfrotunately
was banned --> but they did not tell me the reason, and I could not imagiene for which reason it happened. Nevertheless, the community is great - and you got surely many responses on your works whether 2d or 3d.

The only disadvantage is that the pages loads often slowly due to the huge
amount of the images and the galleries containing them.

thanks anyway, david. (sha're@Kazaa)

You are desperately searching for an easy 3d tool?

Try Bryce5 and Poser4 (for people) :)

With Bryce5 and Poser4 you can easily share your thoughts and dreams :)

I have Win98 and not very very fast pc :) but it works quite well...
I also tried 3d studio 2.0 or 2.5, but there is a thick manual :)

here are some good sites: http://fly.to/mirre (Bryce4/5 with Poser4)
http://ww.surrealplaces.com (partly 3d studio, partly Bryce4/5)
http://www.renderosity.com (artist community)
http://internet-news.gmxhome.de (my own work, there is a link!)

thanks anyway, david.
