3 gigs is not much... where at Oink?

Even at Oink 3 gigs is not much. You just need to pick the right torrents and do partial seeding. I think my buffer at Oink is about 30 gigs.

How do you pick the right torrents?

Upload the newest major, big Win or Mac app from TL (has to be over 1Gb to be worth it), or at least grab it and help seed, and just leave it seeding, I got 5GB just for jumping on the Student Encarta release, it is still seeding at 5k, but if it is still seeding, then it is still growing.
