I just wanted 2 ask whats makes David Blane so cool & diffent from other Magicians ---- As their is no such thing as real magic and no 1 can float in the air but David Blane just makes seen real --- do u think it's just cos he's good at acting

Metro i used to really like DB but i watched a prog showing how he does his "magc" and was very disapointed :( Alot of it is camera trickery not even slight of hand..with the levitation he stands at such an angle that people only see one foot then he pushes up on the other keeping heels together ,Then they splice an actors arm or shoulder (wearing same clothes)and show DB floating 1 foot from ground then splice in reactions of people that see only 1 foot coming off ground.<<<<<<hope that made sense lol :D

David Blaine is very much the real deal. He is a magician/psychic/mystifier, all self proclaimed. Most of his magic/tricks are based on simple magic principles, etc. ;)

At best Db is a prestidigitator.(someone who makes a show of skill or deceitful cleverness)I am not saying his shows arent good but i didnt think he would lower himself to tv trickery :(

Derren Brown is far superior to Blaney ass - his stuff is really freaky - i mean he really can reads peoples minds - its fascinating. Did you see the one with the boxers trying to lift him? They found it impossible - like 20 stone boxer guys, couldnt lift some bee atch - really light.

Anyway - used to think blane was real - but i am sceptical - whats the point of sittin on the top of a tower? you twat.

on tv shows he comes across as a pompous prick.

his levitation thing is interesting tho...

now i liked Penn & Teller (spelt right?) - they used to be on tv on the UK but havnt seen them for ages - are they on all the time in the US metro? (or where they&#33;?).

I liked their bullet trick, shooting at eachother and catching the bullets (loaded by members of the audience) in their teeth - cool.

I was never a fan of Penn & Teller but they were huge in the US at 1 time...

I don&#39;t think there on TV anymore in the US --- The only episode of Penn and Teller i saw was when the quiet 1 got ran pver by a truck... and even that crap...

Suppose Brown&#39;s probably my favourite of them ones, cant remember most of his stuff, mostly because im off my skull at the moment - im off to finish watching the towering inferno - seen it? f*ck me - classic man, havnt seen it in years then it came up on suprnova &#33;&#33; sweet&#33;&#33; so me watchin it now&#33;&#33;

Penn and Teller have/had a show on Showtime called "Penn and Tellers Bullshit" it was pretty funny, they would go around and call bullshit on a bunch of people..like palm readers, certain religions and all that crap.

Blane sucks ass though.

that was interestin &#33;&#33; someone told me about it before but ive never seen it explained &#33;&#33; on the tv show he is raised to a ridiculous height - theres no way its his toes - it must he a harness of some sort on him.

Yea, the video I posted is pretty convincing... But the thing is, there just isn&#39;t no such thing as real magic. If you wanna learn most of David Blaine&#39;s magic tricks you can check This Site (http://www.geocities.com/jhnsnoot/blainemagic.html). But some of the tricks he does are really really hard to explain.

Like how the card the little girl picked ends up in her back pocket? :blink: Or how that one girl writes her name "Brandy" on the card, he rips up the card, and makes it disappear. But then the top card in the deck is the same card, with her name "Brandy" on it. :blink:

I still think David Blaine is a pretty amazing guy.

David Blaine is amazing. The reason he is popular is because he does everything in your face unlike those &#39;stage magicians&#39;. Furthermore, any magician pretty much looks crappy if you know his tricks.
