Okay guys and gals, what other p2p programs are available to use? I am looking for other programs to download sortware.

Is imesh any good or do they have tons of spyware?

the standard imesh apparently has a lot of spyware

other programs to use:

mirc
emule
bittorent
soulseek (though more for music than software)
newsgroups

i think that's about all i use

Thanks for the quick response but do you recommend any of them for software?

probably best for software would be bittorent

If your looking for software, get Shareaza or the like eMule, though Shareaza has more such as G1, G2 and Bittorent. Then go to ShareReactor and find waht you want. This is the best, I think, way to get Software, KaZaa is the worse place for software.

As for other stuff, well I use KaZaa for media, Shareaza for software, NG for new releases and am trying ES5 for their security features.

how do you find shareaza runs on your pc?

it slowed mine down a huge amount, to the point of hanging a few times

my spec: athlon 2700
512MB ddr ram
windows xp

Actually I heard there were problems with earlier versions, I think the latest is 1.890, if your much further back, then update and give it another shot.

Shareaza does use alot of system resources, when i have it really going it will use about 35 % of mine p4 2.0, 756 ddr Ram. But is a good p2p
