View Full Version : WTF HAPPENED with my oink ACCOUNT?!! plz help

Okay, all I was doing was seeding stuff. I downloaded some stuff before I went to bed and left the cimputer on to seed. Evrything was working. My ratio was about .45 on Oink I only had like 7gb dled. My name was 187clan. I also Can't get on the chat on the oink website to find out what happened. Someone plz help!!
You mean their help channel wasn't helpful? :yikes:

He means the member list here at FST not at Oink, e male must be a member here. Click on members at the top of the page and choose members list.

You cant connect because you have an invalid nickname. Thats why you need to change your nickname before connecting.

Are you hitting enter? You have to hit Ctrl+Alt+Enter if you are using Mirc. Also, You need to type in all capital letters and you need to put an exclamation point at the end of /nick and nickname.
It should look like this:
"/NICK! NICKNAME!!" and then press (CTRL+ALT+ENTER)
That should work.
If you want to join their irc you will need to use a proper irc client like mirc and not their java webchat.

ahh, that might be it. I was using the java thing. Oh well it looks like my oink life if over, and all I was doing is seeding.

i think that you didn't anything bad.. Oink is a very large tracker and in it are a lot of people with the very similar or same ips.. so if one of them got ban you got ban too.. i think this is problem..

mhm.. Oink rules are really strict and they ban people almost for nothing.. but of course there should be reason.. and in my opinion this reason is same ip as banned people..

My response, both to his forum post and his PMs, was civil. Just because I didn't give him what he wanted doesn't make me rude or uncivil. He now knows why he was banned, and that's all that matters to me.

A requirement for oink is a dynamic ip.. if they disable your account (for no reaon..) change the ip and make a new one :D

In 5 years from now the next generation of torrent will prevail, in what ever incarnation it feels, and we will all be joking about this moment. Getting your oink account disabled can't be the worst thing in torrents... can it?

I broke down the trackers for best of, like the emmy awards, and ironicly enough I gave Oink best of tracker award. I feel humbled now

Actually, the Oink mods are pretty helpful and understanding if you reason with them logically and you havent done anything too bad...
