A Program To Download So I Can Burn Movies As Dvd

hi when i download movies and episodes of different shows i burn them on a cd. but the problem is i can't play them on my Xbox cuz my Xbox can only read the DVD-R/RW cd's. so is there a program so i dont have to buy like 300$worth of shit to do this. i am sure that this has been posted but i dont feel like searching threw the boards.
