OK...tell me if im right here. You download Nero and get a dvd blank disc and load your avi into nero and it burns it on the disc right? Or is it way more complicating than that? Thanks :D

well, yeah thats about it. if you want to watch the file on a dvd player youll have to convert it first as AVi doesn't work on dvd players.

let me ask this. is it also correct that if you have the k-lite codec pask that you dont have to convert the avi using nero?

Why not download TMPGEnc Version 2.513.53.162 from Here (http://www.tmpgenc.net/) and it will let you convert you .avi file to whatever you want it to be changed to for free, its so simple to use that even i converted an .AVI to VCD format. I just need a site that can teach me how to burn them to cd/cds

nero can easily convert avi's to vcd/svcd and then burn it all in one hit, ready for any home dvd player.

Really does you friend have to "author" the avi cds or does he just burn the avi to the cd.
What is the brand name of the DVD player? What's the model #?

First off you should always watch a movie even if you don't want to make sure there are no bad frames, because if u encode and this is a bad frame it might cause an a/v out of sync (audio/video) or the movie might not play. By the way post the stats of the movie.

Check this out. There is format for video disc called X(S)VCD format the resolution is pretty damn high 720x480 NTSC 720x576 PAL Ive heard of people using it before but I don't know it will work in most DVD players u can get software to make this format @ the same site (http://www.dvdrhelp.com/convert) I sent you last time.
Good luck!

If the file u have right now is 704x480 then i can make it stay at the same resolution. This is what I will do I will download about smidt or whatever and encode for u.
