Is anyone going back to see the same movie (28 days later) but with a different ending?

I'm hoping the second ending will just end up a small movie clip on kazaa, I'm not paying to see that again.

i thought the ending was a little weak. cheasy freeze frame ending straight out of an 80's sitcom. I'm hopeing anyone that goes to see the new ending will report something back here to let us all know.

If not I'll just sneak my cam in during the ending and make my own screener ;)

Was the point of the ending not that it only happened in the UK

From what i thought the "RAGE" was only spread thru UK
Meanwhile america was watching the simpsons

Anyone know how they got some of those shots? all those streets so empty, that was great

I was just wondering if it was a good movie?I am not a huge horror fan so I was wondering if a non-horror fan would like it?

Probably. it was not really a horror, it was not real scary but it was real as I read some reviewer said that it was not like other zombie movies, they explain where they cam rom, and the zombies do not walk around minlessley. I liked it, except the ending.

they filmed it in summertime and they did the shots of london empty at about 5am as it had just got light and they blocked off the roads and held people back for like 1minute while they just did the shots of it empty, ive been there many times it was very weird seeing those palces empty as theyre normally VERY busy

It was spread round, Paris and New York were specifically named but it was mentioned a few times about being global

I read some reviewer said that it was not like other zombie movies, they explain where they cam rom, and the zombies do not walk around minlessley.
uh... that part about where they came from is no different from night/dawn/day of the living dead. the zombies in those movies were the result of some kind of radioactive plague that falls from the sky on a meteor or satellite or sumfin. the part where the military barricades itself in a building, waiting to figure out a solution to the plague... is a direct ripoff of "day of the dead."

they already did the "zombie plague manufactured by scientists" story in resident evil.

zombies that can run fast? italy made heaps of "zombies that can run fast" movies in the 80s.

also see "the omega man" and david cronenberg's "rabid." 28 days later rips off elements from those movies too.

it seems like the only thing new about 28 days is the fact that it's shot on super cheap-looking digital video so it looks like a documentary, and the cameraman starts shaking the camera around whenever there's a monster onscreen so you can't get a good look at them. what a gyp. <_<

not to diss the british movie industry, because they do make some very good movies once in a while, but 28 days was just a "hip" repackaging of stuff from old films that today's teens are too young to remember. i have to admit, the early scenes of the empty london streets were pretty cool, but the rest of it was disappointing to me.

3RA1N1AC is right... don't get me wrong i liked the movie but, it felt like i was watching parts of other movies....

but overall i enjoyed it... but meeting up with the Army guys kind of spoilt the movie...

That whole "I promised them women" scene was taking away from the horror aspect i thought. I was no longer worried about RAGE zombies. More worried I would have to watch a gross rape scene.

I heard so many things about this movie. "It's shit", "It's awesome". I downloaded a TMD cam. That's good enough for me.

I dl'd the DVD rip. I liked it but it did rip-off other movies easily. The thing that was original was the fact that others changed to zombies in about 25 seconds if not killed. That created a new aspect. Remember the story of the airport. Piles of people were changing upon changing upon changing. I would've loved to 'see' that.

First I would like to say that the movie was good and it did have it's problems, but that is the same with every movie ever made. and I have read of 2 other ending beside the one in theaters I read about themhere (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0289043/board/threads/?p=1)
:)

well, this movie wasn´t so bad,but i think when they make a second one this will suck.

there are almost no good sequels ,so why should this be better than the first one?

the Alternate ending is Jim dying when Selena tried to save him after he was shot. Selena and Hannah both leave him in the hospital and then the scene changes to them at the small cottage in the country, just like in the original and its the same thing as the original, just that Jim is not in the scene. They signal the plane and whether or not they were rescued is not really determined.

for sure, thats not worth paying to see

That ending sucks just as much as the normal 1, i expected Zombies / Rage victims 2 attack the cottage or sumthing....

I doubt that what FatRiff quoted is the actual alternate ending (unless of course he actually SAW it in theatres)
I read many a place that the new ending is 'darker' than the one everyone saw originally.

No offense to FatRiff, you posted what you were told was the truth. Who ever told you that was misleading you (Unless, of course, that person actually SAW it theatres, in which case you may all ignore my post)

FatRiff

No I haven't seen the second ending but what I quoted was from what I read here (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0289043/board/threads/?p=1)

Some other movie forums, But I do hope it isn't true because a darker or more special effect-full ending would be great from the sappy, happy ending.

Loomis, none taken, good post.
