If i d/l a .mpg how do i know if it is VCD, SVCD or what. Or do i just burn the file and play it on my DVD player (which doesn't support SVCD)?

well SVCD won't play on WMP yet VCD does

what are u using to burn ?
i use nero and set it to record as a vcd and nero does the rest

the difference is that vcd are mpeg 1 and svcd is mpeg 2

please someone correct me if iget this wrong :rolleyes:
