I burned the 5 cd's using nero, put in cd 1 and it says to extract this file to the hard drive then after all cd's are done extracting the files to this folder, to run mgs 2 setup. So i do, and then I put install and wait and nothing happens! Why? What can I do? I got it off of supernova.org.

I dont see your point, if the install execution file wont work? How would it work using daemon tools? You would still have to run it! It doensnt makes sense. I guess an idiot that had the ps2 version extracted all the shit from it and made it seem as a pc game, If I start the mgs icon the game will start but the noise and sound sucks and u cant play wit a key board!

He burned all 5 CDs as i did (what a waste)...you can "unpack" the files from a image or from the CD, it makes no difference.

Im running XP and the game wont play on my Dell

Your right, I mean the game I dont even think it is hte pc version. I would just buy it for the xbox then. Nothing else to do! Unless anyone that has the same files got it to install. Any other bit torrent sites that might have enter the matrix?

one problem everyone ran into on MGS2 was that they didnt kno you had to have the dvd-rom lol... get it for xbox tho its pretty cheap

I have a dvd rom but what do I do? The game cd's no matter waht drive you put them in, it will not auto launch to the install? Why? I mean if they were meant to be burned on a cd, then why doesnt it install if I unpacked all the files?

I do not think that you do that is the point of them being shared in winrar format so that you can install from the HD and use a no-cd. I do not know why the executable will not launch for ya though, it seem that you are doing everything right.

THe executable will launch but when I click on install it goes away and nothing happins. When I click on mgs_sse it comes up again so I put install and still nothing happens. There must be a way to fix this. I mean I know all bit torrent games work!

I'd buy it for the Xbox mate! It runs pretty badly on PC to tell you the truth. I've got a oc'd 2800+ Athlon XP, well over 1GB of memory and a 128MB graphics card and it still runs slightly jerky in some areas! (I just hope when a patch is released it sorts this out). I really wish I'd bought it on Xbox or PS2 now.

After unpacking the files from CD to HD, goto the "bin" folder that was created during the unpacking process and run "mgs2.exe" not "MGS2SSetup.exe" or "mgs2_sse.exe" and it should play fine then.

And you don't need a DVDRom to play it, just the 5CD's and over 7GB of HD space :-)

Also, i've got an Athlon 1GHz with half Gig of ram and it play's fine for me :-)

I hope this helps you :-)
