I remembered it as being the scariest movie ever from when I was a kid, I just bought that one and boy was i disapointed.
I have come to the conclusion that no movies are really scary any more. the old ones have the great ideas and are well carried out but the sfx are just too cheesy compared to now adays. Today there are some good ideas around (darkness falls, that was a good idea) but the movies are so shittly made.

I give up, I am now just satisfied if a scary movie is any good.

Same here. I watched the Japanese version when I was like 12, and it's still freaking me out now ;) .

I believe many would say the Hollywood remake wasn't as scary as the Japanese one. Try the Jap one, I bet you will get a higher rating on the wet your wedgie reading.

All 90's horror movies are Duff! Not scary at all...just big titted girls runnin around screaming (maybe not such a bad thing???)...Nah give me 70/80's horrors anyday..when they were scary...Halloween, The Fog, The Thing, Last House on the left etc etc....... ;)

I agree. Definately the ring (Japanese one). The Japanese are the best in horror by far. the Japanese Ring 2 was tops also

the creepiest part is when Linda Blair runs down the stairs on all fours upside down

The Exorcist III

the part where the nurse gets killed fucked me up and you actually don't even see or hear her get gutted. That's the art of terror wothout gore!!!

cant agree more.. i saw witches when i was about 7.. i swear i didnt sleep for a week.

gore doesnt really scare me, its more suspense, which i love that scares that sh*t out of me.

I saw it along time ago. I think it was called SQUIRM. I was about worms that were made mean by some guy that owned a worm farm. I belive he used a train transformer(electricity) to do it. I cant remember the whole story but a storm or car wreck knocked down a power pole send a constant stream of electricity to the ground making the worms made and the just started killing people. Probably the wierdest movie I ever saw.

Also DELIVERENCE and the CRYING GAME. If you have seen these movies you know what I am talking about.

You know, it's not a horror movie, but I found "OutBreak" to be the scariest movie I have ever seen. It's real, and it's something that could happen at any given moment.
