View Full Version : Looking for BitMeTV

I am a long-time user on both SCC and TB. I maintain an extremely decent ratio (with 600+ GBs uploaded, of which I have proof). I am looking to join a TV-series specialised site and I hear BitMeTV is the best of the lot (but let me know if you have other recommendations).

TB doesn't operate an invite system (and thank heavens for that). SCC has just disabled theirs (owing to some stupid schmuck who decided to profit by selling their invites on e-Bay) so I haven't got invites to offer until that changes. Edit: I now do have SCC invites on offer.

If any generous BitMeTV user is looking to add a contributing and reliable peer to the fold -- great, drop me a line. I will get you proof of ratio on TB or SCC and an invite to SCC as soon as they are made available again. Otherwise, just keep an eye on this topic, I will update it when the SCC situation is resolved.

Look at this thread, is the same for you.

"You will not get it, be active first."

I have, in fact. And I even anticipated you to be the first to reply to this thread, as well as the contents of your message. Any chances you could elaborate how you perceive 'being active' as indicative of a person's merit?

My response to you will necessarily be along the lines of what kareemgona had already stated in the other thread. If by being active you mean joining the crowd of lemmings that create a deluge of pointless and redundant posts, contributing absolutely nothing to this forum, then I see my modest post count as a badge of merit.

Moreover, I neither think that users should be judged based on their 'reputation' mark, as it is too often a result of countless give-aways to sites that people are joining for the sole purpose of extracting trade invites. And that, in my opinion, runs contrary to the idea behind file-sharing.

To me, joining any torrent site is a commitment that should be made reluctantly. Maintaining a decent ratio whilst being necessary to keep file-sharing communities going and ensuing high transfer speeds, does take a lot of effort and I find having dozens of rarely-used accounts simply ludicrous.

I believe that this forums serves one good purpose, and that is bringing torrent communities closer and allowing existing users to find like-minded people who would be an asset to their site's userbase. That cannot however be based on frequently misleading post count or reputation alone.

In any case, thanks for the reply!

*1- You're wrong on that. Do you consider a community a bunch of spammers? If yes, i think FST isn't your place. It's a fact that all the communities have spammers, it's a fact to that all the communities have members wich their objective is help the others, we have here and in all the places different types of users.

*2- I agree with you on the rep system, it means nothing. "Invites are meant to be free" It's a beautifaul sentence, but nowadays things are not like that, exist traders and anti-traders full stop.

Here if you want an invite for free, i will repeat again, you need to be active, help the others (You don't need to make giveaways, we have more sections here on FST).

I think you got the mainly idea so if you want an invite work for it, proove that you deserve it.

I do not. I am saying that there is a tendency on FST to misjudge users based on their post count. I think it should be worthwhile contributions to the forums that should be considered. Not 'activity' as denoted by making hundreds of posts, which is regularly achieved through meaningless one-sentence messages.

Anyhow, I will just stick around, muster some stuff for trade and see what happens. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks!

And just to clarify (for jonno81985 in particular, who has unfortunately already closed his topic), by this statement Anyhow, I will just stick around, muster some stuff for trade and see what happens. I mean that I agree with Gladiator's view and intend to wait until I have SCC invites available.

I had hoped I had made my position clear. My only interest is in a good tracker specialising in TV-series. I am not keen on trading and I really wish I could achieve my goal without it, but as Gladiator already pointed out, expecting simple generosity appears to be fruitless here.

In the meantime, I am looking to get to know the people of FST a bit better, so drop me a message if you'd like! ;)

I have SCC invites available which I wish to trade for BitMeTV.

I have unsuccessfully tried to gain access to this excellent TV tracker for over 3 months now so please take this very seriously.

I have proof that I am a long-standing and reliable member of the private torrenting community and I will expect the same from you. This is a non-negotiable condition of the trade.

Message me if interested.

LOL, first you look ok. you want an invite, blah blah, then you say you will get scc invites, ok that'l be good when you give to someone who needs it, but instead you offer to trade them?

if i had bmtv you would not qualify mate, reason: what and how could i know that you won't go offering invites to bmtv to get in other tracker?.

and just so you know: scc won't get you that. try harder, stay active and be helpful, not tradeful.

my advice. is just what i would do...

Just to clarify. I am looking to invite reliable and trustworthy users to SCC. That is sceneaccess.org, an exclusive tracker with a very good reputation, awesome movie packs and probably most famous for their madly fast pre-times.

In return, I would like to gain access to BitMeTV.
