Ok,i want to ask something about one of the best scene trackers(maybe the best for some).
I want to know which upload speed can provide a decent 1:1 ratio there...
Im not talking about boxes, just a home adsl connection.
700-1000 kbps are enough?
I know it might sound stupid, but if some1 is in there,i will really appreciate a post.
Bye.

It(700-1000 kbps) might be good enough for SCC but not for SCT. Hell, even 100mbit seedboxes sometimes fall short when it comes to SCT..only partial seeding helps in creating a buffer.

That's a decent home connection speed, and providing you are selective in what you download (ie popular stuff) and grabbed it from the minute it came out and continue seeding till eternity, you will do very well. Combine that with a TL account and you will do very well indeed.

The big mistake is sharing what limited resources you have round many sites whilst also downloading more than you can return.

It's all about judgement, not about speed.

Not completley true adeel2. I have a 3:1 ratio been a memeber over 2 years and only used a home connection that offers only 80kb/s. It is posible but you need to be a little wise and not just grab everything and be quick on popular torrents. SGTmajor is right. combine accounts. :)

I have a 512 home connection and I don't have any problem keeping a ratio.

All my torrents are atleast 1:1.

Yeah even when I wasn't using my a box, I used to have a 15GB buffer on SCT with my 640k connection.

Also, there are MANY more leechers on free leeches. Whhen the next one comes around, you can give your ratio a serious boost.

700-1000 kbps is fast enough for a home connection. I envy you. Just maintain other accounts too so that you won't concentrate leeching from SCT. I'm pretty sure you'll survive if you download wisely. Good luck mate!

Yeah, 700-1000kbps is a lot better than I have, but I use a seedbox on ScT and other sites. You should know though that even with your better upload speed than a lot of other people have will not always be enough. There are lots of 100/100 and some gbit on nearly everything. Be prepared to seed a long time if necessary.

i dont think you can compete @ ScT/SCC with 700-1000kbps upload. When your still downloading, they have already downloaded & seeding so it makes it hard

Agree with you!!

When I didn`t have a seedbox, I could always keep my 1.2+ ratio on sct with a 65Kbps upload rate...

I was restricted to popular content...and keep each torrent alive for ~3 months!!

if you do like me i grab from scenetorrents, and when i need buffer i download from torrentleech and seed in scenetorrents. Ok with server is easy, but not necessary.

You can make it, just be very selective on the things you download.

I don't agree.600-700kb/s is enough fast to keep a 1:1 ratio on popular torrents. And like SgtMajor said SCT + TL = Good Ratio on SCT.

I have a 2.5mbit home line, so I upload at about 250KB/s, and I have like a 500GB buffer.
