:(

Tonight I decided to weigh myself and measure my height because I usually just guess it, and it turns out I'm 3 inches shorter than I thought and 4 pounds heavier.

Woe is me :(

That doesn't sound right  (well the four pounds is within normal tolerances but 3 inches?)

Hahahahahahaaaa

Come to the short side.

My friend for ages thought she was five foot six. I made her sit down in my kitchen with her legs out in front of her next to me, then measuresd her standing and she;s hardly taller then me and I;m five foot two.

Unexpected shortness FTW!!

5'3" is not outwith the band range of normal is it? I mean 4'2" or 6' is a bit extreme at either end like.

I think midgets have to have some sort of obvious physical features wrong with them apart from just height, don't they? Like little stubby arms or whatever.

What you are referring to is a dwarf.
Midgets are correctly proportioned.
Tiny perfect people.

I met one of my OH's work colleagues the other day and he looked exactly like Nick Nack from The Man With the Golden Gun, but he looked like the normal but equally small version of him. Maybe he was a midget :ermm:

do you think she is an actual midget?

Nah...she is reputed at one time to have been rather larger than she is now, but it was long enough ago no one remembers - or so they say.

She may indeed have been much larger at one time, but that might have only made her as tall as her shortest daughter (the 4'8" one).

I like hugging short people, but it sure is easier to do while seated. :whistling

Tall women have big babies you know :shifty:

CrabGirl

:glag: earl

A guy at work just had his first baby - well, his missus did. He is 6 foot and she is five foot and their baby boy was a massive 11lb. The poor woman needed many stiches and a blood transfusion afterwards. :fear:

I'd prefer to be taller definatly. I hate being short. People take the piss all the time and I can't see over people's heads in crowds. I spend my life staring at armpits or chests, and whilst some might think this is a good thing, it really isn't. It sucks.

Squeamous
07-22-2008, 10:15 AM
But small people are cute. I like to pat their heads affectionately...they love that .

Good on your friend's missus for passing the monster baby naturally though Crabby. Mind you I don't suppose she knew how big it was beforehand. That whole thing terrifies me. If I didn't know better I'd take childbirth for the plot of a horror/scifi movie .

blood transfusion? stitches?

Well... they say that women with big feet have easier labours because of the size of their pelvis. I hope this is true cause I'm an 8.5.

The other day the husband decided it would be a good idea to offer someone to come and watch the birth.

I mean, what the fuck??? :o

I don't know what 8.5 means, but the missus says she's confident of popping one out with aplomb.

No wai am I going to watch, although I may hold her hand and stay at the head end. (My missus' head obviousment).

Bit of both, stayed at Mrs JP's side, but also kept an eye on the business end, sort of leant over to look. I famously said at one point "It's got a head" she replied, somewhat tersely I though, "That's fucking all right then, idiot". I also had a look at the placenta chap to make sure that it looked nice and healthy. Just a swatch like, not a full examination. Watched the apgar tests being done and all that.

I was holding No1 son when he opened his eyes the first time as the medical coves had Mrs JP otherwise occupied.

Unpleasant yet fantastic at the same time. The smell was wot done me in mostly.

Nothing romantic about a woman's innards being surgically displayed to you...3 times.

Still, I was there.
