STC is the new Mac tracker started by the former Vortex staff that left due to how RachelFaith was running things.
It has the support from What.CD, you can read the post on What.CD's home page.

It's been great getting this community setup and watching you guys grow together, so quickly, so soon. There's not a one of us amongst the staff that hasn't read through the forums or lurked in IRC but with a huge grin on our faces, so happy that you guys rock so hard.

In the spirit of great community, there's nothing like a little friendly competition, is there? So, we've decided that we're having the First STC Uploading Contest. Already counting what's on the site, and running through the Friday, August 8th at Midnight GMT, we're coungint to see who can upload the most torrents. It doesn't matter what type they are, whether they be applications or ALAC music, but all uploads still must comply with the rules. The current standings can be views at the contest page. Have fun!

Prizes are as follows:
First Place: VIP status (unlimited invites) and a custom title.
Second Place: Custom title of your choosing and 10 extra invites.
Third Place: Custom title of your choosing and 5 extra invites.

Well this thread has been reported by a new member with 0 posts asking us to remove the thread so I am going to assume that this person is a member of staff there. I explained to this person that we have no agreement with this tracker so don't feel pressured by some who will say "it's against the trackers rules". This is more of a warning to you guys to watch yourselves out there. I hat to see our members lose their accts. We will do what we can to help our members out.
