All of my torrents from different trackers (3 or 4) all turn red and the tracker says reports its offline (timed out). Then when i restart Utorrent they all work perfectly. AFAIK, when the torrent is red, it does not record the upload stats.

anybody else getting this bug?

It's because those trackers have not included utorrent 1.8 in their allowed list more than likely.

there's a known problem if you are using utorrent 1.8 with NOD32 avoid using them together

For those with "HTTP 400" error or completely non-working RSS, that is a problem with NOD32. Please disable IMON or upgrade to 3.x.

but tracker offline is not a bug;) it's probably from you... did you open connections...

meh i think it's cause torrentspy/whoever says it prob don't trust it and wants it banned on all private sites maybe..

Could be from your ISP, try to enable protocol encryption. Also check the box for "randomize port each start".

i bet other versions of utorrent like 1.6.1 work well? so it cant be an issue with the isp..
i remember i had that problem with 1.7.x too.. sometimes i still have it with 1.7.7, so i use the very old outdated software, if its possible..

this has to be a bug, same issue with me
every so often, for no apparent reason, every single tracker (i have torrents from MULTIPLE trackers) goes red (offline) and then when you right click on it, "Update Tracker" is then disabled. I close utorrent out entirely (exit the program), re open it, and it's fine -- they all appear as online. It's gotta be a bug, and it's hella annoying..I am switching back to the old version for now because this is gay!
I would hate to not have my uploads count or something because I keep getting disconnected from the tracker.

When the arrow is red, it does record, if you dont turn the client off.

If you turn off your client, then all stats will be erased.

Have you altered max half-open connections?

This can also be caused if you have your net.max_halfopen set to value other than 8, and have not patched TCPIP.SYS using the EventID 4226 Patcher" (http://www.lvllord.de/?lang=en&url=downloads) (XP SP2 and 2003 only). If you have patched it, check it again, because it gets reverted occasionally by Windows patches.

Simple solution...downgrade to v. 1.7.7 till bugs are reported fixed in v. 1.8.
