error: access denied on ubuntu

when ever i try to add torrent to my seed box i get a error in utorrent 1.8 saying Error:Access Denied??

My HDD is not full.. i cannot think of any other reason why i could be getting this error? This is wasting time and money for me and i need anwers ASAP!! :(

A bit more info would help, for instance how are you adding the torrent ? via the webui or browsing via the seedbox. The more info you give the easier it is to help.

weather i add it through the webui or the nxclient doesn't matter i still get the same error.. :(
