Moxie Colo was issued with cease and desist notices and ordered to hand over the owners data and site logs of What.cd, SumoTracker, BTMon and FullDls. They are told to simply close many other sites they host.

It won't be "the end", that's for sure.

The CRIA is similar to the RIAA here in the USA. They can send out scary letters to whoever they please, but they cannot enforce anything.

Per the article, the host has all but told them to piss off - "We will not be following the request and will be fighting for the rights of our clients as to date laws in Canada protect them. We have looked into the matter and from what we understand these sites are not breaking any laws in Canada..."

Let's just supposing this really WAS news and their canadian server was taken down
What has several backup servers, supposing one went down, they would simply switch to the other (remember when the main server was being DDoS'd, you switched to backup.what.cd? yea... )
